Our housing support is a one-stop resource for individuals and families looking for long-term housing that fits their needs. While we do not provide emergency housing, we offer personalized guidance based on current housing options available across California.
Housing listings change every month, and we are not connected to the properties we share. Our role is to help bridge the gap by connecting you with up-to-date opportunities and explaining how to apply.
Instead of dealing with complicated applications or long waits, our team makes the process easier. We help you understand income limits, eligibility rules, and next steps, so you can focus on finding safe, stable housing for you and your family.

To qualify for long-term housing in California, all applicants must have some form of income to help pay rent—even if the amount is small. This is a requirement for every housing program we work with. At this time, we are not aware of any long-term housing options that accept applicants with no income at all. Because of this, we are unable to assist individuals who do not currently have a source of income.
The good news is that some housing properties do not require immigration status. We work to match families with housing options that do not have this restriction.
If you have low credit or no credit, we can guide you through the process and explain alternative ways some properties review applications.
Most housing providers also ask about criminal background as part of their application process. Our case managers will ask helpful questions so we can better match you with properties and support your application as much as possible.
Our goal is to be clear, honest, and supportive—so you understand what to expect and can move forward with confidence.

When you become a client of My New House, support does not stop after your first visit. Each month, you will receive a carefully selected list of housing opportunities across California.
If you see a property you are interested in, you are welcome to visit our office. We can provide the application or help complete it with you during your appointment.
Some people choose to search for housing on their own, and that is okay. We are here for those who want guidance, clarity, and support while working toward long-term housing.
Please note that My New House is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Appointment availability depends on when our volunteers are able to serve. Because of this, we are unable to respond to individual appointment requests. If no appointments appear on our website, it simply means all current spots are filled. We encourage you to check back often, as new openings become available regularly.

Mediation services are available to help resolve neighbor disputes such as parking, noise, property boundaries, fences, children, pets, shared spaces, nuisances, tree issues, trespassing, and related concerns. Support is also offered for landlord–tenant disputes, including rent increases, repairs, security deposits, lease terms, evictions, housing conditions, HOA disagreements, lockouts, retaliation, notices, and reasonable accommodation requests. Mediation provides a confidential and respectful setting to address issues, improve communication, and work toward practical solutions without going to court.
